Black-and-Tan (Coat colour A-Locus Dog)
The dog is dark coloured on the body and has light brown markings on the belly, chest and face (muzzle).
This colouration is caused by the at allele of the Agouti locus.

The dog is dark coloured on the body and has light brown markings on the belly, chest and face (muzzle). Especially the "brows", two light brown marks above the eyes, are typical.
If there is an additional white spotting, the colour is called "tricolour".
The colour occurs e.g. in the breeds Hovawart, Rottweiler, Doberman and Collies (Border/Sheltie etc.).
